Feast Day at the Synodal Cathedral of Our Lady of the Sign
in New York
The Feast Day at the Synodal Cathedral of the Kursk-Root Icon
in New York and the celebration of the 100th anniversary of
the glorification of St. Seraphim of Sarov will be held on
10 December 2003.
The celebrations will be headed by His Eminence Metropolitan
Laurus, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside
of Russia, along with the bishops of the Council.
In connection with the Expanded Clergy Conference, "Path
of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia: Past and
Future," a host of clergymen from all over the world
is expected to participate.
On the eve of the holiday, 9 December, vigil will commence
at 6:30 pm. On the feast day, 10 December, divine liturgy
begins at 9:30 am.
At the end of liturgy, a trapeza banquet will be held. Those
wishing to participate must register with Priest Andrei Sommer
at (212) 410-4258. Tickets are included in the registration
fee of participants of the Clergy Conference. Seating is limited,
so please register no later than 1 December.
