Kursk: Photo-report of the Visit of the Primate of the Russian Church Abroad and His Escorts to the Diocese of Kursk and Rylsk
During his visit to Kursk, His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus met with Archbishop German of Kursk and Rylsk, Schema-Metropolitan Yuvenaly, Governor Alexander Mikhailov of Kursk oblast and others. On the feast day of the translation of the relics of St Nicholas, His Eminence performed divine services at Znamensky Cathedral in Kursk. Here, His Eminence Vladyka venerated the holy items of Kursk-Root Hermitage and St Sergius-Kazansky Cathedral, built by the father of St Seraphim of Sarov. During a round-table dedicated to the "Hodigitria [Protectress] of the Russian Diapora," held at Palomnichesky Center at the Hermitage, His Eminence was awarded the SS Boris and Gleb Gold Medal "for sacrificial service" by the Rossiya Pravoslavnaya [Russia is Orthodox] group.
