Servant of God Alexander Nikolaevich Olhovsky, father of Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America and New York, reposes in the Lord

On Tuesday, 17 December, 2024, the feast day of St Barbara and the 50th birthday of His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America and New York, the hierarach's father, Alexander Nikolaevich Olhovsky, reposed in the Lord.

His Eminence learned of the repose of his father while at Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY, as he was preparing to officiate at Divine Liturgy. By Divine mercy, the First Hierarch was the first to commemorate his late father during the proskomidia.
