Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America and New York meets Metropolitan Saba of North America of the Antiochian Orthodox Church

On Tuesday, 17 September, 2024, His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America and New York visited the residence off His Eminence Metropolitan Saba, Primate and Archbishop of the Antiochian Orthodox Church of North America. During a luncheon, the two hierarchs had a warm, fraternal discussion of the life of the Holy Church of Christ, her pastoral and missionary service, youth ministry and inter-Orthodox relations. At the end of the meeting, the bishops exchanged mementos of the visit, wishing each other Divine aid. Metropolitan Saba gave Metropolitan Nicholas a reliquary with a part of the uncorrupt mantle of St Raphael of Brooklyn, recently obtained along with his relics. The Primate of the Russian Church Abroad promised to find a prominent place for the holy shrine.

The Very Reverend Joseph Samaan, Protosyngellos of the Antiochian Archdiocese, also participated along with Archpriect Thomas Zain, Vicar General; representing ROCOR were Archpriest Serafim Gan, Chancellor of the Synod of Bishops; Archpriest Andrei Sommer, Vice President of the Synodal Youth Committee, and Archpriest George Temidis, Secretary of the Eastern American Diocesan Council of ROCOR.
