The 85th birthday of Abbess Varvara is celebrated at the Convent of the Ascension of the Lord on the Mt of Olives

On Sunday, 26 May, 2024, the 4th Sunday of Pascha, His Eminence Metropolitan Mark of Berlin and Germany celebrated Divine Liturgy at Ascension of the Lord Church in the Convent on the Mt of Olives, Jerusalem. During the minor entrance, in accordance with the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, Metropolitan Mark awarded Abbess Varvara (Novikova) the ornamented pectoral cross in honor of her earnest labors and her 85th birthday.
