The Western American Diocese to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the glorification of St John of Shanghai and San Francisco the Miracle-worker

On Friday and Saturday, June 28-29, 2024, the Fullness of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the canonization of St John (Maximovich) of Shanghai and San Francisco the Miracle-worker at the Cathedral of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow" in San Francisco, CA. The crypt containing the saint's relics is located in the cathedral.

The 10th anniversary of the episcopal consecration of His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, will be celebrated as well.
A reception will take place after Divine Liturgy to benefit the St John Benevolent Fund. Registration will remain open until June 10.
