The First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad performs a pannikhida on the 2nd anniversary of the repose of Metropolitan Hilarion of blessed memory

On Thursday, May 16, 2024, the second anniversary of the repose of Metropolitan Hilarion (Kapral) of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, the present Primate of ROCOR, His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas, performed a pannikhida after Divine Liturgy at St Sergius of Radonezh Chapel in New York City.

The same day, His Grace Bishop Luke of Syracuse also officiated at a memorial service for the late hierarch at the cemetery of Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, NY, to a large gathering of monastics, brethren and pilgrims. A memorial luncheon was then offered, funded by Metropolitan Nicholas.
