WESTERN AMERICAN DIOCESE: 4 April 2024
The Western Diocesan Pastoral Conference takes place
With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America, a pastoral meeting of the Western American Diocese was held at the Monastery of St Paisius (Velichkovsky) in Safford, AZ, from April 1 to April 3, 2024. The meeting was led by His Grace Bishop Theodosius of Seattle and His Grace Bishop James of Sonora.
During the gathering, lectures were read and the clergy raised issues related to pastoral activities and the life of the Diocese. The miraculous “Hawaiian” Myrrh-streaming Iveron Mother of God Icon was also present.
On Tuesday, April 2, Bishop Theodosius led the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts. The Diocesan clergy prayerfully thanked the monastery’s Abbess Nun Michaila and her sisters for the warm welcome.
