The Fifth Pan-European Orthodox Liturgical Music Conference: “Beauty in Divine Services: The Practice of Choral Singing,” celebrating the anniversaries of AA Arkhangelsky and AV Nikolsky, will be held from 25th – 28th January, 2024, at the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God and the Holy Royal Martyrs in London, England.

From the announcement on the web site of the All-European Church Music Committee of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia: “We are pleased to announce that despite the difficult situation in the world, the Committee continues its work and plans to hold the fifth Pan-European Orthodox Music Conference in London from 25 to 28 January 2024. We invite you to take part in this event!

“The conference will feature lectures by renowned international specialists in the field of choral singing and church-musicianship, workshops and group discussions.

“This year we plan to make the Conference a little more practically oriented. You will have the opportunity to try yourself as a conductor of a large choir and receive valuable comments from leading experts in this field. In addition, we will talk about the aesthetics and beauty of the Orthodox service. There will also be special classes for Readers, in which you can also take part.

“The conference welcomes church choir conductors, singers, readers, and all others interested in Russian Orthodox choral music.

“We look forward to seeing you at the Conference!”
