The harvest of olives at the monasteries of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in the Holy Land

The olive harvest has been completed in the monasteries of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem.

In previous years pious laborers from all over the world came to the Holy Land in order to help the sisters of the convents pick the harvest. But this year people were unable to come.

The sisters and novices of the Mission were especially worried whether they would be able to harvest the trees, which were plentiful this year, on their own on their own without helpers.

All worries were dispelled from the first day of harvesting. The Lord sent helpers from among the Orthodox faithful living in Israel. Local residents, for a long time deprived of the opportunity to regularly visit the churches, readily and gladly came to the rescue when they had such an opportunity.

By the grace of God, a rich harvest, was gathered quickly, peacefully and easily.
The Head of the Mission Archimandrite Roman (Krassovsky), the abbess’ of both, the Mount of Olives and Gethsemane convents and all the sisters, glorifying God who showed His mercy upon us, sincerely thank all those who have helped.
