The First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad sends condolences to Metropolitan Platon of Theodosia and Kerch

To His Eminence PLATON,
Metropolitan of Theosia and Kerch.

Your Eminence Vladyko!

It is with deep, heartfelt pain that we, the archpastors, clergymen and flock of the Russian Church Abroad, heard of the terrible events in Kerch, which have shaken the entire Russian diaspora.

Fervently praying before the Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God "of the Sign” for the repose of the innocent victims, for the healing of the injured and the strength of all their relatives and loved ones, we beseech the Most-Blessed Virgin to soften and pacify the hearts of man, so that love does not cool and that such wicked deeds not be repeated. We pray for you and for the clergy entrusted to you, and for all those who provide necessary aid and support to those who have been affected by this terrible tragedy, and from my heart wish you Heavenly aid in overcoming all consequences, along with spiritual peace and the consolation of Christ.

May the Lord help you all!

With brotherly love in the Lord,

+ HILARION,
Metropolitan of Eastern America and New York,
First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia.
