The Primate of the Russian Church Abroad Celebrates Divine Liturgy on the Anniversary of the Repose of Metropolitan Anthony (Khrapovitsky) of Kiev and Galicia

On Wednesday, August 10, 2016, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, celebrated Divine Liturgy in St Sergius Chapel on the first floor of the Synod building in New York City, to commemorate the 80 th anniversary of the repose of Metropolitan Anthony (Khrapovitsky) of Kiev and Galicia, the first Primate of the Russian Church Abroad. He was joined by Hieromonk Evtikhy (Dovganiuk) and Protodeacon Denis Lvov.

In a brief sermon after a commemorative litany, His Eminence recalled the words of St Justin (Popovic) on the zealous love for Christ that the late hierarch nurtured, which ran like a thread through all of his labors, ascetic feats and fervent service to the Church of Christ.
