The Primate of the Russian Church Abroad Arrives in the Russian Capital

On January 23, 2009, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York arrived in Moscow to participate in the Council of Bishops and Local Council [Pomestny Sobor] of the Russian Orthodox Church and in the enthronement of the newly-elected Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia. After anwering reporters' questions, His Eminence headed for the first stavropighial monastery of Moscow, Danilov Monastery.
