His
Eminence Metropolitan Laurus Officiates at the Celebration of the
Feast Day of Holy Trinity Seminary
On February 12, on the feast day of the Three Hierarchs, when Holy
Trinity Seminary marks its holiday, His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus
officiated at Divine Liturgy at the cathedral of Holy Trinity Monastery,
and at all-night vigil on the eve, along with Bishop Peter of Cleveland,
the Vicar of the Diocese of Chicago and Detroit, and the monastery
clergy. On this day, relics and an icon of the Hierarchs, the protectors
of the Seminary, lay on an analogion in the middle of the church.
During the minor entrance, His Eminence awarded the gold pectoral
cross to Hieromonk Roman (Krassovsky) on behalf of the Synod of
Bishops; Fr Roman is the director of the monastic choir who recently
issued a recording of church music on the 10th anniversary of the
glorification of St John (Maximovich, +1966) of Shanghai and San
Francisco. Fr Roman, who enjoys the love and respect of the seminarians,
is also a teacher of liturgics and church music at Holy Trinity
Seminary.
