His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus Officiates at the Feast Day of the Memorial Church of the Royal Passion-bearers and All Russian Martyrs

On May 19, on the feast day of St Job the Much-suffering and the birthday of Tsar-Martyr Nicholas, His Eminence Metropolitan Laurus performed Divine Liturgy Memorial Church of the Royal Passion-bearers and All Russian Martyrs in Brussels, and on the eve, a solemn all-night vigil with the litia and polyeleos. His Eminence was joioned by His Grace Bishop Michael of Boston; His Grace Bishop Agapit of Stuttgart, who is the Administrator of the Diocese of Geneva and Western Europe; Protopriest Alexander Lebedeff; Protopriest Stefan Weerts; Priest Serafim Gan; Priest Evgeny Sapronov, the Parish Rector and Priest Alexander Zaitsev, along with Protodeacon Victor Lochmatov and Deacon Basil Orekhov. At the end of divine services, His Eminence addressed the worshipers with an archpastoral sermon in which he expressed joy that the peace and calm reign again in the life of the Memorial Church, which had suffered recently from schismatics.

During the trapeze, Bishop Agapit welcomed His Eminence Vladyka Laurus, Bishop Michael, the visiting clergymen and all the parishioners and worshipers. In his address, Bishop Michael told of his recent trip throughout the dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, while escorting the relics of Holy New Martyrs Elizaveta and Varvara. Protopriest Alexander congratulated all those gathered on the holiday and told of the progress of the discussions with the Moscow Patriarchate.

At the end of the celebrations, His Eminence received visitors and spent time with the parishioners. The following morning, after lunch at the home of MN Apraxine, His Eminence Vladyke departed for Luxembourg.
