Bishop Michael of Boston to Visit the Holy Sites of the Ekaterinburg Diocese

As reported by the Information Agency of the Diocese of Ekaterinburg, His Grace Bishop Michael of Boston, Vicar of the Eastern American Diocese, will make a pilgrimage to the Ekaterinburg Diocese on Monday, October 4. The schedule is planned as follows:

Monday, October 4:

5:35 am—Greeting at Kol'tsovo Airport (fl. No. 719).

12:30 - 12:50 pm—Visit to St John the Forerunner Cathedral.

1:20 - 2:20 pm—Visit to the Church-on-the-Blood in honor of All Russian Saints.

5 - 5:15 pm—Visits to the churches of the Nativity of Christ and St Matrona of Moscow on Uralmash.

6:00 - 7:30 pm—Visit to the Monastery of the Holy Royal Passion-bearers. A moleben to be served.

Tuesday, October 5:

10:30 - 12:00 noon—Visit to All-Merciful Savior Monastery and the Orthodox High School on Elizaveta street.

2:15 - 2:45—Visit to Holy Trinity Cathedral.

3:30 - 4:30—Visit to the Skete of St Ignatius of New Tikhvin Convent.

5:00 - 6:00—Visit to the Orphanage of Grand Duchess Elizaveta Feodorovna on the Shartash. A brief concert is given.

6:45 - 8:00—Visit to St Panteleimon Church, review of the social work of the Diocese.

Wednesday, October 6:

12:30—Visit to the Monastery of the New Martyrs of Russia in Alapaevsk. Moleben to be served.

2:45 - 3:15—Visit to Napol'ny School.

3:20 - 3:50—Visit to Holy Trinity Cathedral of Alapaevsk and its crypts.

7:00 - 8:30—Review of the Informational-Publishing Center of the Diocese.

Thursday, October 7:

10:30 - 11:00—Visit to Transfiguration of the Savior Cathedral in the city of Neviansk.

11:45 - 12:15—Visit to the Monastery of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow" in Nizhny Tagil, where the holy relics of the Holy Grand Duchess Elizaveta Feodorovna and Nun Varvara will be visiting.

3:00 - 3:40—Visit to the relics in St Nicholas Men's Monastery in Verkhotursk.

5:00 - 8:20—All-night vigil at St Simeon Church of New Tikhvin Convent in the town of Merkushino.

Friday, October 8:

9:00-12:00—Divine liturgy at Holy Archangel Michael Church in Merkushino.

1:00 - 2:30—Visit to the Venerated Cross and the podvorie (branch) of the Monastery in the town of Kostylevo.

2:30 - 3:00—Visit to Holy Protection Convent in Verkhotursk.

3:10 - 4:00—Visit to the churches and museum of St Nicholas Men's Monastery of Verkhotursk.

5:00 - 8:20—All-night vigil at the Church of St Dimitri Donskoy in Nizhny Tagil.

8:30 - 9:30—Meeting with the directors of the "Uralvagonzavod" manufacturing plant.

Saturday, October 9, 2004:

9:00 - 12:00—Divine liturgy at Church-on-the-Blood.

3:00—Meeting with the Ruling Bishop.

3:45—Broadcast interview on the Diocesan radio station: "Voskreseniye."

5:00—Participation in the greeting of the holy relics of Holy Grand Duchess Elizaveta Feodorovna and Nun Varvara at Holy Trinity Cathedral.

5:00 - 8:20—All-night vigil.

Sunday, October 10:

7:00 - 10:00—Divine liturgy at Holy Trinity Cathedral.

10:00 - 11:20—Procession of the cross with the holy relics of SS Elizaveta Feodorovna and Nun Varvara from Holy Trinity Cathedral to the train station.

11:45—Departure of the holy relics of SS Elizaveta Feodorovna and Nun Varvara and their escorts to the city of Perm on train No. 67 from Ekaterinburg.
