Patriarchal greetings on the namesday of Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad

From the Editors: November 3 is the feast day of St Hilarion, Schemamonk of Kievo-Pechersk. On this day, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilariono f Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, celebrates his namesday. The Editors warmly congratulate His Eminence, prayerfully wishing him firm health, boldness of spirit and Divine aid in carrying out the labors of serving the Holy Church of Christ. Below is the text from the congratulatory message received from His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia:

Your Eminence:

Accept my heartfelt greetings on your namesday.

The Almighty as placed upon your shoulders a lofty and responsible service: for many years now you head the Russian Church Abroad, “endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (Ephisians 4:3), developing educational activity at the parish level, by word and deed bearing witness to the beauty and truth of the Orthodox faith.

By the prayers of St Hilarion, Schemamonk of Pechersk, through silence and meekness pleasing the Lord Jesus (from the troparion to the saint), may the Abundantly-generous God send down to you strength and the unlimited help in your continuing archpastoral labors to the good of the Holy Church.
