Archbishop Gabriel of Montreal and Canada visits Ruskoka youth camp

His Eminence Archbishop Gabriel of Montreal and Canada arrived at Ruskoka youth camp in the evening of Sunday, August 5, 2018. According to custom all the campers, counselors and the majority of the volunteers prayed at matins in the chapel of St Alexis the Passion-bearer. The children, the counselors and the volunteers made confession in order to approach the Chalice at Divine Liturgy the next day.

Protopriest Viatcheslav Davidenko, cleric of the Holy Trinity cathedral in Toronto, head of the diocesan youth committee and long term spiritual director of the camp, heard the confessions.

On Monday morning, for the feast of the Holy Princes and Passion-bearers Boris and Gleb, His Eminence served the hierarchical Divine Liturgy assisted by Protopriest Viatcheslav Davidenko and Protodeacon Alexander Morin, also a cleric of the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Toronto.

A graduate of the Holy Trinity Orthodox Seminary, Reader Seth Davidenko, led the choir.

After the service and lunch, Vladyka Gabriel had a wonderful spiritual conversation with the campers and answered questions.

Vladyka Gabriel and the clergy wish to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the camp directo, Alexander Sakuta, and all the volunteers for their warm reception.
