Photo-report on the celebration of the feast day of St John of Shanghai and San Francisco the Miracle-worker at the Cathedral of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow"

On Saturday, June 30, 2018, the feast day of St John (Maximovich), the great archpastor of the Russian diaspora, was celebrated at the Cathedral of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorry" in San Francisco, CA. The uncorrupt relics of the saint are located in a reliquary in the church. Officiating at divine services was His Eminence Archbishop Kyrill of San Francisco and Western America along with His Grace Bishop Theodosius of Seattle, His Grace Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan and His Grace Bishop Irenei of Sacramento, the clergymen of the Western American and other dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, representatives of other National Orthodox Churches and pilgrims.

The Cathedral Choir sang joyously under the direction of Vladimir Krassovsky.

At the end of Divine Liturgy, a moleben and procession of the cross around the cathedral took place. The sisterhood then hosted a trapeza luncheon at the parish hall.
