The President and Deputy Secretary of the Synod of Bishops Meet With New Russian Diplomats

On Thursday, November 16, 2017, His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, President of the Synod of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia visited the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the United Nations in New York, where he met with newly-appointed Permanent Representative Vassily Alexeevich Nebenzya. His Eminence congratulated him on his new office and wished him good health and God’s aid in service of his Fatherland.

That same evening, His Grace Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan, Deputy Secretary of the Synod of Bishops, as part of an archpastoral visit to Washington, DC, visited the Russian Embassy, where he met with Anatoly Ivanovich Antonov, Permanent and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia to the United States.

At both meetings, matters of mutual interest were discussed in a friendly atmosphere, including cooperation in various spheres of social life.
