Mitred Protopriest Peter Burlakov Reposes in the Lord

On Wednesday, July 6, 2016, the feast day of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God, Mitred Protopriest Peter Burlakov reposed in the Lord. He was a long-time cleric of the Mid-American Diocese, serving in St Sergius of Radonezh Cathedral in Cleveland, OH.

With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York, First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, and at the invitation of His Eminence Archbishop Peter of Chicago and Mid-America, who is now visiting Russia on diocesan affairs, the funeral and burial of Fr Peter will be led by His Grace Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan, Deputy Secretary of the Synod of Bishops, on Saturday, July 9, on the feast day of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God, following a funeral Liturgy at St Sergius Cathedral in Cleveland.
