JERUSALEM: July 20, 2015
The Russian Convent in Gethsemane Marks the Feast Day of St Elizabeth and St Barbara

On Saturday, July 18, 2015, the anniversary of the martyrdom of Grand Duchess Elizaveta Feodorovna and Nun Varvara, Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the "royal" Church of St Mary Magdalene in Gethsemane Convent, Jerusalem, where the saints' relics lie. Archimandrite Roman (Krassovsky), Chief of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem of the Russian Church Abroad, officiated at the service in vestments donated to the convent over a century ago by the sainted Grand Duchess.
