The Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God Will Visit Kiev

On May 13, 2010, the miracle-working Kursk-Root Icon of the Mother of God will be taken from the Diocese of Berlin and Germany of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia for a visit to Ukraine.  

The Icon of the Mother of God “of the Sign” will be brought to the Church of All Saints, where it will remain from May 13-22, where believers can venerate it. The clergymen of the Kievan Diocese will conduct daily molebens and akathists before the icon.  

On May 22, after Divine Liturgy, the Icon of the Mother of God will be taken to Holy Transfiguration Cathedral in the city of Suma, where it will remain until May 25. 

On May 25, after divine services, a procession of the cross with the icon will go to the Russian border, where the clergy and laity of the Kursk Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church will greet it.
