This year, Rector of St Nicholas Church in Red Bank, NJ, Protopriest Serge Lukianov and his parishioners will participate in the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of their city, which will begin on the Orthodox date of the Epiphany of the Lord. The mayor, municipal representatives and local Orthodox Chirstians and the parishioners of St Nicholas will pray during the great blessing of the waters at Navesink River. This service, as the mayor notes, will open the city's centennial celebrations. We wish St Nicholas Parish heavenly assistance and success in their service to God and man.
